A recent visit brought a very pleasant surprise - a new chef and a few new menu items, which we were told are a sign of things to come in a new menu (miso glazed sea bass will remain on the menu, no fear) to hit sometime early in 2023. We appreciate the stated effort to locally source as much as possible. Our venison with wild rice entrees and smoked trout appetizers were on par with anything we've had at Owamni or Spoon and Stable. Outstanding preparation and presentation, service back to the pre-pandemic standard, and an intriguing wine list (Pecorino with the fish, the bourbon barrel-aged red for the venison). And at last some new sweet treats at MVK! The dragon fruit would not be out of place at Khaluna and the goat cheese cheesecake was ultralight and had just the right tang. The restaurant continues to excel at accommodating any dietary needs. Ample parking, comfortable seating, pleasant decor, buzzy vibe but you don't have to shout to be heard. read less
